The Enterprise Data Glossary displays all datasets available within CryspIQ®.

Users can browse or search datasets and review governance information before using the data.


Information Available

Each dataset contains a summary of important information.

Name

The business-friendly name of the dataset.

Examples:

Customer Master
Employee Master
Sales Transactions
Products
Assets
Financial Transactions

The name helps users identify the information available.


Description

A short explanation describing the purpose of the dataset.

Examples:

Customer information used for sales and service reporting.

Employee records used for workforce analytics.

Sales transaction data used for revenue reporting.

Descriptions help users understand how the data can be used.


Access

Indicates whether the current user has permission to access the dataset.

Possible values include:

Access is controlled through Microsoft Entra Security Groups.


Completeness

Displays the completeness of the dataset.

Completeness is calculated using Parking Lot activity.

Higher completeness indicates that the required contextual information has been successfully applied.

Quality

Displays the overall quality rating for the dataset.

Quality scores are derived from Data Quality Rules and Data Quality Exceptions.

The quality score helps users determine whether the data is suitable for reporting, analytics and AI initiatives.


Steward

Displays the Data Steward responsible for the dataset.

The Steward is responsible for:

  • Data quality oversight
  • Governance activities
  • Investigating quality issues
  • Supporting business users

If users have questions regarding a dataset, the Steward should be the first point of contact.


Filtering Data

The Enterprise Data Glossary supports filtering to help users locate information quickly.

Users can filter by:

Understanding Access

CryspIQ® applies security automatically.

If a dataset displays:

Access = No

the user cannot view or query that data.

To request access:

  1. Identify the dataset.
  2. Review the assigned Steward.
  3. Contact the Steward or Data Administrator.
  4. Request membership to the appropriate Security Group.

The Data Glossary is the recommended starting point before using the Questions feature.

The Glossary helps users determine:

Why can't I access a dataset?

Access is controlled through Microsoft Entra Security Groups.

Why is the quality score low?

The dataset may currently contain Data Quality Exceptions that require investigation and remediation.
